Many thousands of years ago the Azlanti established a penal colony on the moon. Today the colony still exists, with the residents always on the alert for demonic incursions from the Moonscar. They also maintain the airlocks into the extensive underground tunnels and explore those airless passages to guard against all the possible dangers threatening their domed city. Life for a Somal human is one of constant danger.
The biggest threat comes from the demons resident elsewhere on the moon, particularly those who can teleport directly into the dome. It is very common for a Somal human to possess a cold iron weapon, and Evil Outsider is the most frequently chosen favoured enemy.
